Alumni Relations and the Career and Professional Development teams are excited to invite you to participate in Lynx Link: Career Advice from One Lynx to Another (formerly Winter Mentoring), our annual mentoring program connecting students with alumni and parents for meaningful career conversations.
Lynx Link is designed to complement students鈥 academic experiences by offering valuable, real-world insights through mentorship with professionals like you. Sharing your knowledge and experience, over three to four one-hour sessions, helps students explore career possibilities and gives them a real edge in landing competitive internships and job opportunities.
Suggested discussion topics may include:
- Introductions: academic and professional backgrounds, why each of you chose 野狼社区, or a favorite college memory
- Career exploration: a 鈥渄ay-in-the-life鈥 view of your role or an overview of opportunities in your field
- Professional development: resume review, in-demand skills, certifications, or early-career experiences that are advantageous in your field
- Industry insights: job search tips, interview preparation, networking strategies, and professional norms
To accommodate students鈥 diverse career interests, we seek mentors who represent a wide range of career fields. You will be matched based on your background and a student鈥檚 stated interests.
Please register by Friday, January 30. Even if you have mentored before, registering again lets us know you are available during this cycle. Student registration opens after Winter Break, with matching in February. Sessions may begin as soon as matches are made. If you are not matched this round, your information will remain on file so we can connect you with students throughout the year.
Join us in shaping the next generation of leaders! If you have any questions, contact Mimi Reed Salazar 鈥96, P鈥26 at salazarm@rhodes.edu.
